The Craftsmanship of Mirrors and Motifs
An authentic Lambani saree is instantly recognizable by its rich texture and geometric precision. These sarees are not just garments but stories told through needles and threads.
- Signature Mirror Work
The most striking feature of Lambani craft is the use of small mirrors stitched into the fabric. These mirrors are believed to protect the wearer and add a beautiful shimmer to the drape during festive gatherings. - Traditional Embroidery Techniques
Our artisans use over fourteen types of stitches, including the prominent Khilan and Patiya. These stitches create raised patterns that give the saree a three dimensional feel. - A Celebration of Color
Lambani embroidery traditionally uses a palette of bright reds, yellows, and blues on earthy base fabrics like cotton and handloom silk. The contrast between the rugged embroidery and the soft drape of the saree creates a sophisticated bohemian look.
Care Tip
Because of the delicate mirror work and hand-embroidery, we recommend dry cleaning only. Store these sarees in a separate cloth bag to prevent the embroidery from snagging on other garments.
